Modesta Ceramic Coatings Have Arrived at Kearney Auto Restyling

We’re excited to announce a major addition to the ceramic coating options available at Kearney Auto Restyling: we are now offering Modesta Ceramic Coatings.

Ceramic coatings have been a major part of what we do for years, so adding another coating brand isn’t something we take lightly. We’ve used products we trust, learned what matters during preparation and installation, and seen firsthand how different coatings perform on vehicles that are actually driven.

When the opportunity came along to work with Modesta, though, it caught our attention. After learning more about the brand, speaking directly with Modesta, and going through their approval process, we were given the opportunity to begin offering their professional coating systems here in Kearney.

Now that the products have arrived and we’ve completed our first Modesta installations, we’re excited to officially introduce them to our customers throughout Kearney and the Kansas City Northland.

What Is Modesta?

Modesta is a professional ceramic coating manufacturer that has built a reputation in the detailing industry for high-end paint protection systems. Unlike consumer coatings that can simply be purchased online by anyone, Modesta’s professional coating products are distributed through a selective installer network. For us, that exclusivity was part of the appeal—but it wasn’t the only reason. A coating can have a great name on the bottle, but the product still has to perform. Modesta offers several different coating formulations rather than treating every vehicle and every customer as though they need exactly the same thing. That gives us more flexibility to recommend protection based on how long you plan to own your vehicle, how it’s driven, and the level of protection and finish you’re looking for.

Why We Chose to Bring Modesta to Kearney

We weren’t looking for a coating simply because we needed something new to sell. We already had years of experience installing professional ceramic coatings and products that we were comfortable standing behind. Our interest in Modesta started through another professional installer who had firsthand experience with the brand. That led us to dig deeper into the products, their reputation and the company behind them. The more we learned, the more interested we became.

Modesta is selective about who is allowed to purchase and install its professional coating systems. After speaking with the company and discussing our shop, experience and installation process, Kearney Auto Restyling was approved to begin working with Modesta.

We’re currently in Modesta’s initial installer period, which gives us an opportunity to establish ourselves with the brand before becoming eligible for its public installer network. We think that process says a lot about how seriously Modesta takes the shops representing its products—and we’re excited to have the opportunity.

Which Modesta Ceramic Coatings Do We Offer?

One thing we like about Modesta is that there isn’t simply one coating for every situation. We’ve brought in several products that allow us to build protection around the vehicle and owner.

Our lineup includes options such as Modesta BC-08, BC-X and BC-05 for painted surfaces, along with dedicated products for wheels and additional protection.

That means we can offer different levels of ceramic protection instead of automatically pushing every customer toward the most expensive coating available.

For many owners, a mid-level coating may provide exactly the durability and performance they’re looking for. For someone purchasing a special vehicle, planning to keep it for many years or simply wanting our highest level of ceramic protection, stepping into one of Modesta’s premium systems may make more sense. Our job is to help determine which option actually fits the vehicle—not just which bottle costs the most.

More Than Just the Coating in the Bottle

Even one of the best ceramic coatings available can only perform as well as the work underneath it.

Before a coating is installed, the vehicle needs to be properly cleaned and prepared. Depending on the condition of the paint and the package selected, that can also include paint correction to improve defects such as swirls, haze and light scratches before the coating locks in the finished appearance.

Installation conditions matter too. Modesta coatings are professionally applied in our shop, with infrared curing used where appropriate as part of the installation process.

That preparation and installation work is a huge part of what you're actually paying for with a professional ceramic coating.

The goal isn't simply to put something on the paint. It's to create the best possible foundation, install the coating correctly and send the vehicle home with a finish and protection system we're comfortable putting our name behind.

Our First Experience With Modesta

We wanted to actually get Modesta in our hands before making too many claims about what it was like to work with.

Now that we have, we understand even more of the enthusiasm surrounding the brand.

The installation process is different depending on the particular Modesta product being used, and that's one of the things we're looking forward to exploring as we install more of the lineup. What hasn't changed is our approach: proper preparation, careful installation and giving each coating the environment and curing process it requires.

We’ll continue learning the finer details of each Modesta system as we work with it, but our first installations have only made us more excited about adding the brand to Kearney Auto Restyling.

Is Modesta Worth It for a Daily Driver?

A premium ceramic coating isn't reserved for exotic cars or vehicles that spend their lives parked in a climate-controlled garage.

In fact, a daily-driven vehicle can be one of the best candidates for ceramic protection. Missouri vehicles regularly deal with bugs, road grime, rain, UV exposure and winter contamination from salt and road-treatment chemicals.

A ceramic coating creates a durable protective layer over the surfaces underneath while also making routine cleaning and maintenance easier. It won't stop rock chips or make your paint impossible to scratch—that's where options such as paint protection film (PPF) serve a different purpose—but it can make maintaining a daily-driven vehicle considerably easier.
